Lip Enhancement Read More

Juvéderm® ULTRA 3 or smile is our filler of choice for lips due to the additional benefits of local anaesthesia, but if you have other preferences we are more than happy to accommodate this and are trained in various dermal fillers such as Restylane, Teosyal and Belotero.

The lip filler used is specifically designed to restore fullness and create plumper sexier lips.

It can be injected into the body of the lip creating a fuller, plumper appearance and also into the vermilion border enhancing the shape of the lip.

If you have thin lips and you want to look like kylie Jenner you will be unlikely to get your desired effect in just one treatment – it’s best to increase the size of your lips gradually over 2-3 treatments to create a longer lasting, more natural effect with fewer complications.

You will be totally involved in the process and asked about preference of size and shape etc.

Undecided?

If you have never had lip fillers before it can be a daunting decision and its natural to worry about things such as what if the treatment went wrong, or you simply did not like the final result. Rest assured if you were not 100 % happy the product can be removed by a dissolvent (Hyalase).

Considering lip fillers?

Here are 10 things you should know

If Kylie Jenner’s lips are making you wonder how good your pout would be a little plumper there’s a few things you should know. Whether you want big luscious lips or something a little more subtle and natural looking, here’s our ten-point guide to getting a great result:

1.It’s important to understand one size doesn’t suit all, what works for Kylie might seem completely out of place on your face We will advise how you can achieve your dream lips based on what’s best suited for your face.

2. Plan ahead Most people experience some swelling and possibly bruising after lip augmentation – this is completely normal and can take between 24-48 hours to settle down. So if you’ve got a big event or special occasion coming up, it’s probably best to make your appointment 2 or 3 weeks beforehand.

3. To reduce the chances of bruising, for around 7 days before your procedure you should avoid blood thinners like painkillers, fish oil and Vitamin E, which promote bruising and bleeding.
Having said that, you might not bruise at all. But if you do, it should fade after four to seven days. The good news is using Arnica ointment (or tablets) can also help speed up or avoid the bruising process.

4. Any trauma to your lips can trigger a cold sore, so if you’re prone to these, make sure you take preventative creams two days before the procedure.

5.What happens when you stop having lip augmentation treatments or the product wears off?  Your lips will return to their natural, pre-treatment state. If you decide against further injections, it will be just as it was before augmentation.

6.Don’t like the effect? Reverse it. Dermal fillers have come a long way – and most treatments are reversible. In fact, almost all of the injectable products we use at CAC are non-permanent.

7.Should I? Shouldn’t I? If you’re not sure, you don’t have to go for a full lip enhancement. We offer a ½ syringe, it’s less obvious but still, a very effective way to allow you to test the water.

8 If you have thin lips and you want to look like kylie Jenner you will be unlikely to get your desired effect in just one treatment – it’s best to increase the size of your lips gradually over 2-3 treatments to create a longer lasting, more natural effect with fewer complications.

9 Remember, your body will naturally break down and absorb the filler over time; so all treatments are ultimately reversible. But if you want a quick reversal, we can inject you with an ‘antidote’ to dissolve the filler.

10 Hate pain? We apply a topical anaesthetic to numb your skin and the lip fillers are blended with a local anaesthetic to cut down on injection pain. By using a very thin needle, even sensitive areas like the lips can be treated with minimum discomfort.

After a treatment, the local anaesthetic will probably make your lips feel numb for about 4 to 6 hours.

The filler can be injected into the vermilion border enhancing the shape of the lip.
